After a Master in Ethology in France, I will explore emotion and communication strategies in chimpanzees both in naturalistic interactions and in cooperative tasks for my PhD project.

I have a broad interest in animal emotion, cognition, and social behavior and by extension in the evolution of these traits in humans. During my PhD project at Leiden University (The Netherlands) I will focus on emotion perception and the role of expressions of emotion in cooperation in great apes.
